Assignment :
Our brief was to re-design the lobby, reception areas, circulations and corridors on all floors as well as the rooms and suites.

Inspired by the vine planted in the patio, we decided to develop a design concept involving wine-making and casks.   So, of course, we chose to use natural and authentic materials such as cork and copper.

Copper can be found on the reception desks as well as in certain details and accessories in the rooms.  It is also – especially – the main element in the lobby :  a canopy surrounding the lounge area with a multitude of ethereal copper petals diffusing shards of light.

The cork flooring in the rooms provides not only warmth but also soundproofing.  Engraved cork emements have also been integrated into the signage.
